Created in 2014 by PRIME EVENTS and William Schoppy Inc. in recognition of Campo's more than three decades of dedication to the student-athletes of the CAL.
The award will be presented to the senior varsity athlete whose academic achievement and dedication to community and service was the most outstanding.
Alexis Hoerter of St. Joseph High School was the 2014 winner. She received her award from Tony Surace.
In addition to being a varsity athlete in cross country, basketball and track at St. Joseph, Alexis was No. 3 in her class academically;
president of the Interact Club, a community service based club; member of the National Honor Society, which does community service;
and has done work for Habitat For Humanity, St. Joseph Church Food Pantry and the 3-day Breast Cancer Walk.
She also attended the Rotary Youth Leadership Award Conference last June, is very active with the Rotary and has done lots of work for
the Downtown Hammonton MainStreet Group.
