Tuesday December 9
Group 3: Deptford 17, Hammonton 14
Joe Hiltwine threw a pair of TD passes - his 10th & 11th of the season - and had another pass tipped away in the end zone in the final minute of the game that could have won it. The Devils are now 4-6 in South Jersey championship games.
Parochial 2: St. Joseph 40, Bishop Eustace 7
Six different players scored TDs for the Wildcats, including sophomore Jack Corcoran, who scored twice. Mike Peteah threw his CAL-leading 16th TD pass to Vince Simone, who registered his CAL-leading 7th TD catch. John Clements returned a punt for a touchdown, becoming the only CAL player with a kickoff & punt return for TDs this season. The championship was the 15th for St. Joe and its 5th straight. It also extended the CAL streak of having at least one NJSIAA football champion for 17 straight years.


Wednesday November 26
St. Augustine 14, Buena 13
DeVohn Butler ran 52 yards for the winning TD in the third quarter. Butler finished with 102 yards. Vince Brooks had 100 yards & 2 TDs for Buena.
Thursday November 27
Egg Harbor Township 28, Mainland 13
A.J. Rowe scored three TDs for the Eagles, who rallied from a 13-6 halftime deficit to hand the Mustangs their 2nd straight loss. Dan Cappelluti threw his 13th TD and John Impagliazzo scored his 10th for Mainland. The win clinched EHT's 4th straight winning season.
Absegami 37, Oakcrest 14
Ryan Goodman rallied Gami from a 14-10 deficit with a pair of TD passes and a TD run. Bill Sheppard scored his 15th TD for Absegami and Ryan Staton scored his 8th for the Falcons.
Middle Township 20, Lower Cape May 0
Erich Wolf scored one touchdown and passed for another as Middle finished at .500 for the first time in seven years. Lower finished winless for the first time since 1929.
Holy Spirit 14, Atlantic City 13
Zach Luckett's 4th quarter TD run gave Spirit the lead and then the Spartans' defense came up with 2 big sacks to kill a final Viking threat. Rob Reynolds scored one TD & passed for the other. The win ended Holy Spirit's six-year losing streak to Atlantic City.
Pleasantville 16, Ocean City 10
Dominique Burrous hit Hank Davis for a 4th quarter TD as the Greyhounds beat the Raiders a second straight year. Jonathan Williams scored the other TD. A Dave Beyel field in the fourth period had given OC the lead. The Raiders finished with their worst record since 1986.
Millville 6, Vineland 0
Kyle Gandy hit Tyquan Johnson with a touchdown in the fourth quarter and the Thunderbolts finished with three straight wins. It was the fourth winning season in Dave Heck's seven years. Vineland was 7-0 this year before losing its final three.
Overbrook 27, Bridgeton 7
Sophomore Bruce Bartley scored the only TD for the Bulldogs on a 51-yard run.
Saturday November 29
St. Joseph 6, Hammonton 2
The Wildcats won their 12th CAL football championship, finishing as the best in the National Conference. Freshman Richard White scored the game's only TD in the second quarter. The defeat ended Hammonton's 9-game winning streak.
