NP3: Holy Spirit 26, Immaculata 13 The Spartans became the first CAL team to finish 12-0 with the win at Rutgers University. William Washington scored twice, Nick Hall once and A.J. Holland hit Jason Smart-el for the other. Washington finished with 226 points this year, the second highest total in South Jersey history. |
St. Augustine 27, Buena 6 Dustin Thomas ran for one TD and passed for another, his 18th TD pass of the season, best ever by a CAL sophomore. But that record was broken the next day by Middle's Nolan Quinn (also a sophomore). Absegami 14, Oakcrest 6 | QB Matt Coulter returned to the lineup and scored one TD for Gami. Freshman Bilal Salaam added the other. Sophomore QB Craig James scored for the Falcons. It marked the 5th straight year Absegami has won the game. Mainland 35, Egg Harbor Township 21 Ron Moody scored 3 TDs, including a 90-yard kickoff return, as the Mustangs held off EHT to win for the 4th straight year. The Eagles rallied from a 20-0 deficit to get within 28-21. Vineland 29, Millville 7 Luke Nelson scored one TD and passed for two others. Middle Township 34, Lower Cape May 19 Nolan Quinn ran for one TD and passed for three others giving him 19 TD passes this season, best ever by a CAL sophomore. Bill Hodgdon caught one touchdown and went over 1,000 receiving yards. Holy Spirit 32, Atlantic City 6 William Washington and Nick Hall each scored twice and A.J. Holland threw a pair of TD passes. Washington increased his point total this year to 212, fourth highest in South Jersey history. Ocean City 21, Pleasantville 0 Senior Matt Graham scored the only two TDs of his career in the second half as OCHS pulled away. Vinnie Djukanovic scored in the 1st half. Hammonton 14, St. Joseph 7 | The Blue Devils used second half TDs by Herb Storey and Chris Helm to rally from a 7-0 halftime deficit and win on the St. Joe field for the first time in 12 years. |
