Born: February 26, 1989 in Somers Point I most root for: Pittsburgh Steelers My sports hero: My dad, Ali Ghanavati - he taught me how to play soccer and he is a very talented athlete himself What I like about track: I love running. When I've had a bad day, I know after I run everything will be alright again. Something about running makes me forget about the bad things that are happening. I know I can always confide in my track girls when I need help. We are all one big, happy family that supports each other through our best and worst times (literally). What I'd change about track: Middle school and high school coaches should not cut students from track teams. There should also be uniformed sweats given out to athletes. And team captains should be brought back to track. My other high school sport: soccer Other sports I enjoy: football and volleyball Most memorable sports experience: the summer before my junior year the sprint medley team qualified for Nationals in Raleigh NC. The team consisted of Kelsey Greene, Erin Walsh, Renee Tomlin and me. We were in one of the slowest heats and were not expected to make the top six. We ended up not only winning our heat, but we received fifth place. I can still remember standing on the podium with our medals, everyone grinning from ear to ear. It was the best feeling I have ever had.
