Tom Williams has been covering Ocean City High School and Cape-Atlantic League
sports for more than 60 years, starting when he was a teenager. He has won 15 awards
from the Press Club of Atlantic City for his writing and broadcasting; has been named New Jersey's
Sportscaster of the Year 11 times, most recently in 2013, 2016, 2017 & 2021; was presented the 2003
award for contributions to amateur football in South Jersey by the National Football Hall of
Fame; was recognized by the IAABO for his contributions to high school basketball; was inducted
into the Carino South Jersey Basketball Hall of Fame and, in 2021, was inducted into the Ocean City
High School Sports Hall of Fame. Also in 2021, the City of Ocean City named the press box at
Carey Stadium in his honor.

During the week before Father's Day he has generally turned his column over to guest columnists
