2003 Prime Events
Girls Basketball Shootout
in Ventnor
There were 13 games played over two weekends at the beautiful, new Ventnor Education Community
Complex. A major blizzard on the first weekend made it impossible to play 10 of the originally scheduled
games. Six games, including two that were postponed by the snow, were played the following weekend.
Highlights included Charnette Phelps' bucket in the final five seconds to give Trenton a win and Holy
Spirit's win over Ocean City. Two teams who played - Northern Burlington and Sacred Heart - went on
to win the first state titles in their schools' histories.
ORIGINAL SCHEDULE
All teams are from New Jersey, except where indicated.
