Raiders are enjoying the spring

By TOM WILLIAMS (4/12/17)

It is spring and Ocean City High School sports teams are enjoying the new season.

After another championship fall and a very successful winter every OCHS spring team has at least a .500 record as the spring break approaches.

Consider:

Softball 5-0.

Boys Track 4-0.

Golf 6-1.

Girls Lacrosse 6-1.

Boys Tennis 4-1.

Girls Track 3-1.

Boys Lacrosse 4-4.

Baseball 3-3.

Also consider, the softball team is 5-0 for the first time in more than 30 years; the only golf loss was to the No. 1 ranked team in South Jersey; the only team to beat girls lacrosse is ranked No. 16 in the state; though the boys lacrosse team is right at .500, they are undefeated against Cape-Atlantic League opponents and have outscored them, 64-11; and the baseball team, also at .500, is 3-0 in the National Conference and tied for first place.

Spring has started with a blast at OCHS.
