Created in 2014 by PRIME EVENTS and William Schoppy Inc.
in recognition of Campo's more than three decades
of dedication to the student-athletes of the CAL.

The award will be presented to the senior varsity athlete
whose academic achievement and
dedication to community and service was
the most outstanding.




Josh Barnes, of Ocean City High School was the 2020 winner

Barnes is founder and regional ambassador for Sole4Souls Shoe Collection, which has collected more than 8,000 new/used shoes to be donated to those in need
he is a St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish religious education teacher and member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish Pastoral Council
a teacher for the Upper Township Middle School District Summer Enhancement Program
did sales and marketing for the Ocean City High School yearbook, was a captain of the golf team
is a peer leader and mentor, was a state finalist in the DECA Principles of Finance competition and has a GPA of 4.69.

Barnes was originally planning to attend the College of William and Mary to major in finance at the School of Business
But a better offer came
He will be attending the prestigious Wallace E. Carroll School of Management at Boston College, regularly ranked among the best business schools in the United States

Normally the Campo Award winner is recognized during the annual CAL Celebration on the Ocean City Music Pier, along with other award winners
But that event was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic
